We have been running an outreach programme with Schools, scouts and even one to one with single students. This usually took the form of schools visiting the observatory, familiarizing students in basic astronomy, showing the scale of the universe. Providing enough information for students to carry out an observational project that can be organised with their teacher from their school classroom. In the case of single students, whom already have a familiarisation in astronomy, it may mean carrying out a more advanced project. Currently the KIngsland Observatory is relocating to a new site in the south of Spain. While visiting the observatory in its new location will still remain an attractive possibility, students will also have the option to carry out their projects by requesting their observations via remote access to our fully robotic telescopes. We will be developing a range of education projects and packages over the next few months. Please keep an eye on our Kingsland Education website for updates and more information.
